Warrington whitewater park

In school you can learn different languages and study vastly different subjects but you can only try a few sports. Most of which are game and rule based. I didn’t like most of the sports I tried in school but when I stumbled across kayaking, on a school trip to the lake district, I finally found a sport that I loved participating in and continue to do so 16 years later.

There has been talk of a whitewater park in Warrington ever since I was a kid. As a town we have the location and the community to make it be something really special.

Asides from being used for kayaking it would also provide a swift water rescue training ground for firefighters, jobs for people in the form of instructors and raft guides and most importantly allow kids from Warrington and surrounding places to have access to an entirely different world of sport and career paths. I would be a very different person these days if I hadn’t fallen in love with kayaking as a kid.
