It’s a challenge with so many differing socio-economic groups vying for attention and residents possibly the bottom of the heap. Drop 1950’s ideas of ‘tourism’ (as evidenced on the foreshore) and focus on the 21st century. That means connectivity (including transport), eliminating shabbiness by redeveloping the centre rather than building satellite estates, investing in leisure facilities for all, especially on the Ryedale side, and making Scarborough an attractive place to live, work and visit. Everyone happy!!
