I think Telford would benefit hugely from youth centres, where young people can attend for free and have access to safe environments that they sadly might not have at home. There are no longer safe places for young people (particularly from lower income families) to attend, socialise and not be at risk of exploitation from adults. Investing in our young people and developing healthy community relationships. Sadly not every child has a responsible parent, we need to get the community back involved in the lives of young people so more eyes are looking out for them, particularly with the rise of exploitation/county lines etc. Young people are often targeted for causing anti social behaviour but realistically, what is there for them to do in Telford if their families don’t have money to spend on activities?
