  1. 1) Bus shelters at all stops in Drighlington, Gildersome, and Morely.

    2) A better bus service than the 229 servicing: Leeds City, Gildersome, Drighlington, Morley and J27 Retail Park.

    3) Enforcement of HGV bans in residential areas around the above towns.

    4) Fix potholes.

    5) Protection of local countryside from development.

    6) A new Dr Surgery in Gildersome.

    7) A new NHS dentist large enough for 20,000 people (10 appointments per day).

    8) Lunchtime cover for the Well pharmacy in Gildersome.

    9) More PCSOs or POs on the streets.

    10) Failing the above, give all 40,000 residents of Morley, Drighlington and Gildersome £625 each. That’d be nice.

  2. I agree, youth clubs are needed. Often young teens (and younger children) are spending more and more time indoors, physically isolated from one another. Keeping in touch very often only via social media. Sometimes suffering social isolation and often as published internet bullying. Additionally parents don’t want their children roaming the streets given the problems with drugs; etc. We all know that government money for young people has been slashed and local authorities are struggling with their budgets. But many churches in and around Morley have fantastic resources in terms of buildings but are underused and not entirely suited to children/young people activities, but with a little finance could easily be adapted.
